The things that we do:
We Promote Change
ACDA has forged ahead with its environmental sensing and strategic planning to empower itself and other BME agencies to develop ways of coping with the myriad of requirements in order to stay viable.
We are obsessed with delivering an exceptional service to you our customers and will devote time, energy and resources to such strategic scanning and mapping activities
The agency promotes change through the following actions:
- Bi-monthly cycle of meetings with the key Partners
- Co-operate with other strategic BME Groups such as Voice East Midlands and Nottingham Black Partnership where we have complementary interests.
- Work in partnership with the entire African Caribbean sector including the Black churches to achieve common objectives.
We are the premier Capacity Building and Fundraising agency within the African Caribbean Sector.
An important focus is making access to funding for regenerating the community easier through raising funds and ring-fencing funding to deliver our strategy of Capacity Building African Caribbean Voluntary Sector and small and medium sized enterprises.
We have developed a new paradigm for negotiating funding for the sector and have a multi- pronged approach to improve access to funding from a range of sources.
We will become the dominant player in the area of Capacity building
for the African Caribbean Voluntary Sector, taking the lead role in advocacy and representation with the statutory and other sectors to create a more enabling environment for the BME part of the sector to thrive. Capacity building support will be provided by an Organisation Development Consultant from our revamped database of Organisation Developers, but the choice of contractor and the range of support to be provided will be discussed
and agreed with the agency being supported.
