The Charity provides social, leisure, culture and educational activities appropriate to the needs and abilities of the individuals. It provides opportunites and access primarily for black elders who are islolated in their homes.

Jamican Prime Minister Visits Nottingham

Jamican Prime Minister Bruce Golding was given a rapturous reception as he addressed a crowd of around 400 people in Nottingham. Mr Golding recieved a standing ovation at The Marcus Garvey Centre in Radford on 23rd May 2008.

In 1991 Bill Morris was elected General Secretary of the T&G by a postal ballot of members. He was the first black general secretary of a trade union and arguably one of the most influential black people in Britain.
