Take 1 Studio is an established voluntary organisation operating in Nottingham for the past 10 years. The organisation is the brainchild of the Executive Director Courtney Rose who got involved in music many years ago.
Pritchar Thepot has been on the PATRA Inc ACDATraineeship since July last year and won Players Player of the Month at The Crime and Drugs Partnership where she is currently placed.
The Marcus Garvey Day Centre & Alzheimer Group is a registerd charity. The Charity provides social, leisure, culture and educational activities appropriate to the needs and abilities of the individuals. It provides opportunites and access primarily for black elders who are islolated in their homes.

Jamican Prime Minister Bruce Golding was given a rapturous reception as he addressed a crowd of around 400 people in Nottingham. Mr Golding recieved a standing ovation at The Marcus Garvey Centre in Radford on 23rd May 2008.
In 1991 Bill Morris was elected General Secretary of the T&G by a postal ballot of members. He was the first black general secretary of a trade union and arguably one of the most influential black people in Britain.
